What is the principle behind Thesera TDN Cell Lift?

Thesera Cell Lift uses TDN (Transfer Double Nanosphere) technology to lift & tighten the skin.  A mild peel is applied to the face, allowing silk fibroin protein threads to be absorbed into the skin as nanoparticles using a cellular pathway.  The nanoparticles reach the deepest layer of the skin, the dermis, from here they help produce fibroblasts (collagen & elastin) and form a 'cushion' in the dermis, resulting in plumped, lifted skin.

What are the threads made from?

The threads are made from silkworm fibroin protein, also known as sericin, which is primarily used in medicine for wound suturing and tissue regeneration. It also has a natural infection resistance and is used variably due to it’s excellent bio-compatibility, and thus is commonly used as a wound coagulant as well. When used in cosmetics, sericin has been found to improve skin elasticity and several anti-ageing factors, including an anti-wrinkle property.

What results can I expect to see?

Nobodies skin is the same, for that reason, results will vary from person to person, however, result that can be achieved include:

lifting, pore tightening, increased elasticity, minimises wrinkles, improved dermal density, improved volume, improvements to pigmentation, hydration, more youthful appearance.

How many treatments will I require?

The results of Thesera TDN Cell Lift are cumulative, with every subsequent treatment improving the results of the last.  For this reason, it can be used as a one off treatment for a special occasion or as a part of a course for longer lasting, optimal results.  A course of 2 – 4 treatments is recommended (one treatment every 2-4 weeks) to build on the existing threads and maximise production of collagen, which in turn, allowing results to last up to 18 months.  Maintenance appointments are recommended once every 3 to 6 months depending on factors such as age, skin and lifestyle.
